Recruited as a substitute teacher in 2003, Judy Layzell spent the next fifteen years in high school classrooms honing her skills. Then, she wrote stories about her experiences. Currently, she resides in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with her daughter, Midori, her daughter’s boyfriend, Neil, two grandchildren, Hunter and Tala, and their two dogs, Opal and Onyx.
